Marcus Minten is an experienced consultant and manager specializing in sales effectiveness and sales management, with a strong focus on the design and implementation of sales compensation systems. He brings in-depth expertise from more than 120 projects in these fields, built in over 25 years of professional experience.
Marcus works across industries in Germany, Europe, the United States, and globally. His core work centers on developing sales compensation and performance management programs that support both the execution of corporate strategy and the motivation of sales teams. He has extensive experience in best practice solutions for a wide range of sales models, covering both direct and indirect channels in B2B as well as consumer business environments.
His client base includes mid-sized companies as well as MDAX and DAX40 corporations. He leads projects involving stakeholders from Sales, HR, Finance, and IT across all organizational levels, driving alignment towards shared solutions. In addition, he brings hands-on experience in managing complex negotiations with works councils on sales compensation topics, both from corporate and consulting perspectives.
Beyond designing compensation models, Marcus supports their implementation, including communication, drafting governance frameworks, cost modeling, building comparison and simulation tools, negotiating with works councils, and selecting and rolling out leading IT solutions for sales compensation administration.
