Elmer Montalvan brings over 20 years of senior experience in Central America, client-oriented in banking and finance, managing and leading high-performance teams.
He started his banking career at BANPAIS, from where he continued at Banco FICOHSA as Vice President of Entrepreneurial Banking. He was involved in planning and execution of real estate strategies for developing shopping malls in the region, with a strong focus on improving customer experiences through the application of the Lean Six Sigma philosophy.
During the last few years, he has concentrated on advising clients with an international angle in the Banking, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Mining, and Logistics sectors.
Elmer Montalvan graduated in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and EMBA by the 1st ranked Latam institution INCAE. He is fluent in Spanish and speaks advanced English. His home base is Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Currently serving as President of the Board of the Honduran Institute for Culture and Education (IHCI), a non-governmental organization with 88 years of institutional history. IHCI operates as a Binational Center in partnership with the United States Government in Honduras, promoting English language education and cultural exchange.
